The German Region of Franconia is not only famous the world over for its traditional bocksbeutel wine, it has also taken the ancient art of distilling fruit spirits to new heights. Records of this activity go back more than five hundred years. Rosenhut, the Leaque of Franconian Distillers which has received numerous national and international awards, is an integral part of this tradition. It is now celebrating its tenth anniversary with pure, yearly vintages of the highest quality in the year 2004. Rosenhut distilleries transform quinces, cherries, vineyard peaches, and elderberries into noble spirits, sending connoisseurs on delicious journeys of discovery to the finely nuanced aromas of Conference pears, Whitty pears, and Goldparmäne apples. Franconian grape, pomace, and wine brandies as well as rare distillates of asparagus, bolete mushrooms, walnuts, and pine needles are also part of the product range which has long been exported around the world.
